Nightmare Before Christmas Tree

With November, the Christmas season is officially on us. In the past I’ve slightly resented having to (mostly) put away Halloween for a year, but this year I figured out a way I can combine them and enjoy my dreaded yearly task of decorating the tree.

As soon as all the Halloween decorations went on clearance Nov. 1, I swooped in and bought an assortment to decorate a black Christmas tree I bought earlier. This is now in my office as my personal, Nightmare Before Christmas tree.

It needs a few more decorations, including a Skellington or two, but I look forward to the process. The regular tree will be set up in it’s usual spot and I won’t grumble so much decorating it.

I had a wonderful, festive time decorating—I put on the Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack and had a pleasant time. Maybe all the chores I dread could be livened up with some fun decorations.
