Three pounds in a week…!

I stopped for a quick selfie at Sam’s Club during a shopping trip Sept. 9.

I didn’t think it possible, but I did enter into the 150s this week at weigh in. I dropped three pounds in a week without starving. I feel better than when I was in my 20s—energetic, happy and healthy.

The change is obvious and I’ve had several people this week ask my how I’m dropping weight so fast. I swear it’s simple. Here’s exactly what I do, and what I’ve been doing, to lose over 25 pounds since May.

Note: I am not starving myself at all and my workout is pretty minimal. I have an extremely busy schedule, most of which involves sitting at a computer, so I am sedentary most of the time.

Every morning I work out for 15 minutes to a half hour. My work out consists of me listening to music on my phone and moving. I try to swing my arms as well as move my legs to get the aerobic thing going.

BREAKFAST: Two cups of coffee with milk, no sweeteners, then a Vanilla 310 meal replacement shake, made with water. I add a teaspoon of matcha to my shake. Afterwards I have as many raw almonds as I feel like munching and sometimes a banana.

MID-MORNING: Raw almonds, whenever I feel like I want them. I graze.

LUNCH: A Vanilla 310 meal replacement shake, made with water. Sometimes I have the Mocha flavor of 310 Shake, which is also good. I snack on more almonds, a banana or a slice of cheese if I feel like it.

Me at 185 in May 2015.

DINNER: Varies, but it will be a protein and vegetables. Usually it’s a portion of meat (I don’t weigh it) like chicken or pork and frozen veggies cooked in the microwave. Sometimes, if I had lunch out with someone, I switch these up and have my lunch shake in lieu of dinner. I still try to keep the lunch to minimal breads and absolutely no sugars or artificial sweeteners. Natural fresh fruit sugar is okay.

That’s it. I don’t ever feel hungry. I don’t feel deprived and this all fits in my schedule. The 310 Shake mix I buy directly from the company, 310 Nutrition, and we purchase four bags at a time to get the best deal. One bag lasts one person about a month, I think, with having two meals a day from it.

I encourage everyone to try this, or whatever works for you. I didn’t feel this fantastic even when I was younger. If a fat writer that sat for 16 hours a day at a newspaper (in May, when I started this) can drop 25+ pounds that easy… anyone can. We should all feel this wonderful.
