H.E.A.R.T Animal Rescue Anthology

H.E.A.R.T Animal Rescue Anthology 2012 is now officially for sale.  I’m so excited I might pass out ;D  You can purchase it on Kindle and in paperback directly from Createspace.

It will be up on Amazon in paperback within a few days.  50% of proceeds go back to H.E.A.R.T to help them in their quest to find every dog a loving home… or keep them in their home to start with.

Judging has officially begun ;D

Ember Press is officially accepting poetry and short story submissions for the HEART Animal Rescue Anthology.  The Top Dog Photo Contest is now open as well!

Short story submissions to the anthology will be selected by an independent judging panel in the categories of Youth (15 & under), Young Adult (16 to 18) and Adult (18+).  Poetry will be judged as one category.

Short story submissions are limited to 2,000 words or less while poetry should be limited to one page.

Please send all submissions to dandilyonfluff@gmail.com by July 31st August 15th* with “HEART Submission” and your category in the subject line.  An example would be “HEART Submission: Short Story Adult”.  Winners will be published in the anthology to benefit HEART Animal Rescue.  The theme is rescued animals.

There will be a pet photo contest in conjunction with the anthology with winning photos being painted by Robin Wiesneth of A Brush With Humor.  100% of the proceeds from the paintings and entry fees are going directly to HEART Animal Rescue along with an ongoing 50% of all anthology proceeds.  Winning entries will be decided by August 15th, 2012 and informed via email.

Additional prizes, rules and promotions may be announced and are subject to change.

*Due to our recent move we are behind schedule and have decided to extend the deadline to August 15th, 2012.  We don’t want to rush this important project.
