Meet the Anthology Winners!

At last, the H.E.A.R.T Animal Rescue Anthology winners have been selected!  Before I announce the winners I’d like to give a round of virtual applause for our fabulous judges.  They all have busy schedules but they were willing to donate their time and expertise for this wonderful project.  Thank you judges!

I’d like to give another big thank you to all the talented entrants that contributed their work.  Now, without further fuss let me announce the winners.

For short story adult the overall winning entry was Saber by Amy Eye.  In second was Independence by Cassie McCown followed by Griffin’s Adventure by Cindy Vogler.  Congratulations on some excellent work!  Honorable mentions were  Night Sky by Pat Kranish and Ten Months with Eli by Paulette Mahurin.

In the poetry division we had Bella by Brandy, A Ferret Story by Cindy Vogler and Angel Cat by Amy Potts.  The honorable mention was Untitled by Genesis Carter.  Congratulations again to the winners and to everyone who entered!  The judges had their work cut out for them ;p

The Top Dog Photo Contest was dropped due to a lack of participants and the talented Robin Weisneth has painted two of H.E.A.R.T’s rescue dogs named Red and Halona instead.  Their story will be included in the anthology along with information about the great work H.E.A.R.T Animal Rescue does to help our pet population.

From here the anthology will be formatted and put together to be available just in time for the launch party at 3 Dogs & a Chick Bakery & Boutique on October 13th.  Stay tuned for more info!
