Team “I” Update

Today was spent snoozing and relaxing after work.  Hurricane Isaac news was the big buzz as most everyone on the Panhandle watched anxiously to see where it would make landfall.  I wasn’t too worried.

I rode to work this morning and the weather was clear and windy.  The wind was blowing hard enough that it was wailing eerily thru the dark trees and making them lash about wildly.

There were a lot of people wandering the dark roads for 4 am including a woman who gave me enough of a shock I almost fell off my bike.  She lurched out of the shadows with one arm pinned behind her back and limping badly.  I swerved around her and rode the rest of the way to work covered in goosebumps.

Of course all this spooky strangeness made me think of zombies all day, which is good because I have a story to finish for the upcoming Creative Reviews Anthology.  Nothing like zombies to get those brain juices flowing.  And speaking of anthologies, the judges have been finishing up with their decisions rather quickly.  We’re waiting to get the word from just two and I’ll be announcing the winning line up here.  It’s been worth all the work.  These stories are just wonderful.

Finally, for all the people in my life who have insisted that there is no “I” in “team”… you were wrong.  It has been found ;p

Hurry and get your story done! I want to read it!! And this year it’s actually going to be sponsored by The Eyes for Editing instead of Creative Reviews, I haven’t been involved in the group for a long time… Too busy with work!! LOL
