Writing A Better Life For Animals In Need

The Ember Press Anthologies idea is going better than we could have dreamed.  The H.E.A.R.T Anthology submissions keep pouring in.  Today I talked to two different animal shelters and we are tentatively booked until September.  That’s three different anthologies chock full of writers using their talents to help feed and save rescue animals.  I’m in heaven!

Eventually I want to move this bigger to encompass more needs but the focus will always be on the helpless be they animal, child or elderly.  Other ideas are starting to connect up to raise even more funds for these causes.  The support and enthusiasm for our little fundraising idea has been overwhelming and I know the day when I hold the first finished book in my hands I will probably cry happy (and exhausted) tears.  We expect that to be sometime at the end of August.

Thank you to everyone for their support – especially Amy Eye (for editing and formatting expertise), Robin Wiesneth for generously donating all proceeds from her anthology paintings to H.E.A.R.T and 3 Dogs & a Chick Bakery for hosting our festivities at the end and putting me in contact with H.E.A.R.T in the first place.  They are some of the best people on the planet, I assure you.
